Getting your test results
Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can:
- phone us and we will tell you what the results are. Test results are only available Monday – Friday between 11.00 am and 1.00 pm. Please wait at least 7 days after your test before contacting the surgery unless the Doctor has asked you to ring earlier.
Smear test results can take up to 16 weeks and you will receive your result by letter from the health board.
Please remember that staff may have to ask questions to establish your identity and to assess the best course of action for your enquiry, to obtain details to pass on to the doctor. Such questions are meant to help you and are not designed to be obstructive or intrusive.
Our Reception staff are not qualified to comment on results therefore it is your responsibility to check them and make any necessary follow-up appointment with the Doctor.
